Our Mission, Vision, and Values

Our Collective

Our mission is to help all who self-identify as women and gender diverse foster health, wellness, and equity through intersectional feminist approaches to advocacy, shared knowledge, and minimal-barrier programs and services.

Our vision is health, wellness, and equity for those we serve.

Our values include advocacy, health literacy, shared knowledge, grassroots activism, cultural safety, compassion, and empowerment, as well as:

● Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility: We work to remove barriers and create spaces where everyone can participate fully and be treated with dignity.
● Intersectional, Anti-Oppressive Practices: We recognize that people experience overlapping forms of oppression and commit to addressing these injustices in all that we do.
● Trauma-Informed, Healing-Centered Practices: We strive to create environments that are safer, supportive, and responsive to people’s lived/living experiences.
● Decolonization: We actively challenge colonial systems while uplifting Indigenous knowledge, leadership, and ways of caring.
● Collective Care & Sustainability: We tend to one another and to the long-term health of the organization, balancing community needs with capacity.

We at the Vancouver Women’s Health Collective are a non-profit organization helping all who self-identify as women and gender diverse foster health, wellness, and equity through intersectional feminist approaches to advocacy, shared knowledge, and minimal-barrier programs and services.
